Week 1 is officially wrapped up for the NFC East and we finally have our look at how the rest of the division is shaping up. It was a pretty even split to kick off the season, with two teams clinching their first victory of the year, and the remaining two falling in pretty embarrassing fashion.

We all know how the season-opener went for the NY Giants, as they were dominated 28-6 by the Minnesota Vikings. However, where do they fair amongst the rest of the division? Spoiler alert: it's not very high.

NFC East Power Rankings: Giants hit rock bottom and Commanders aren't far behind

4. NY Giants

This should not be a surprise to anyone, but the way the Giants played in Week 1 not only has them at the bottom of the NFC East, but potentially as bottom feeders in the NFL as well. Practically every part of the team aside from MAYBE the offensive line was non-existent, and with the way they lost, it's hard to see them winning many games in 2024.

For starters, Daniel Jones looked like by far the worst quarterback in the league. He couldn't read the defense, was consistently running into sacks and threw two completely inexcusable interceptions. The blame cannot be placed on the offensive line, as Jones had plenty of time to make the right throws, yet he couldn't.

Alongside Jones' disastrous performance, the defense, which was rather hyped up going into the season, was horrid. Three out of the top five cap hits on the entire team belong to the pass-rush, specifically Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence, and Kayvon Thibodeaux, yet, the defense only racked up one sack.

It really doesn't matter which part of the Giants you talk about, it all went wrong and there's really no other place but last for this team. Hopefully, Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll can right the ship, and soon, because if not, they could be out the door before you know it.
