Day 1 of OTAs for the NY Giants on Monday provided a lot of excitement for the fanbase. Not only did rookie wideout Jalin Hyatt catch a touchdown during 7-on-7s, but new tight end Darren Waller showcased his abilities during drills as well.

On top of that, several guys on defense also turned heads. The list includes stud linebacker Bobby Okereke, who signed his four-year, $40 million deal with the team earlier this offseason. Okereke is a physical specimen and he sure looked like a beast in East Rutherford. He was also excited to take things to social media for Big Blue fans to enjoy:

Giants LB Bobby Okereke is turning heads for Big Blue this offseason

Take a look at those muscles Okereke is showcasing. Imagine a running back looking up and seeing the 6-1, 235-pounder coming at him full speed. Yeah, that's enough to keep you up at night. Okereke was a tackle machine for the Colts the past two seasons, recording 132 and 151, respectively.

As soon as it was announced that the G-Men had agreed to the mega-deal with the young 'backer, people were thrilled with the move. The LBs room has been a major issue for the Giants in recent years, but Okereke is finally the kind of playmaker that people have been waiting to see.

At just 26 years old, Okereke has plenty of outstanding football ahead of him and he's ready to make plays with the other studs on this NY defense. Defensive coordinator Wink Martindale has to over the moon knowing that he's adding someone of Okereke's caliber to his unit.

Not only that, but plenty of eyes are going to be on first-round pick Deonte Banks this week as well. Things are trending in the right direction for this defense and Okereke is certainly a big reason why.
