2. EDGE Azeez Ojulari

After randomly popping up with a hamstring injury following the Giants' Week 1 loss, fans were surprised to see Azeez Ojulari miss New York's victory against the Cardinals. Unfortunately, it looks like there's a good chance that Ojulari won't be around against the 49ers on Thursday as well. Injuries are starting to become a theme in the 23-year-old's brief NFL career and it has us concerned.

Last season, Ojulari missed 10 games due to various injuries, most notably, a calf strain that led to him landing on the IR. However, when on the field, Ojulari was a monster, racking up 5.5 sacks through only seven games. Now, in 2023, it looks like Ojulari could miss multiple games once again.

NFL fans know how tricky hamstring injuries can be. For one player, it can be a slight tweak that causes them to only miss a week, but for others, it can last an entire season and hamper their play. Hopefully, the Giants are being careful with how they handle Ojulari's hamstring. While it would be nice to see him suit up on Thursday, it may be smart to let him rest one more week in order to try and guarantee his health for the rest of the season.

As of now, it seems like Ojulari will be a game-time decision on Thursday. It would be nice for him to suit up and help Kayvon Thibodeaux reign terror upon Brock Purdy. However, it's more likely that Wink Martindale and the Giants play it safe this week.
