Giants News: Daniel Jones is loving what he's seeing from Darren Waller at OTAs
We know it's only May and it's probably too early to get overly excited, but goodness, tight end Darren Waller is sure looking good at NY Giants OTAs. From the moment general manager Joe Schoen traded for him, fans have been fired up to see what he can do.
In East Rutherford this week, Waller has been making plenty of big catches, showcasing strong chemistry early on with quarterback Daniel Jones. Danny Dimes is certainly loving what he's seeing out of his new offensive weapon, as he gave him a glowing review while speaking to the media on Thursday:
Darren Waller is impressing NY Giants QB Daniel Jones at OTAs
"As soon as you walk on the field, you can see he's a big guy. He can run every route, catches the ball really well, great body control. He's been really fun to work with. Really smart guy - he's picked things up really quickly."

Jones is all smiles in that clip talking about the 6-6 tight end. Waller couldn't be happier to be with the Giants too, as it was clear that his situation was the Raiders was only getting worse over time. Now, he's got a fresh start with the G-Men - one he's ready to take full advantage of.
Waller is one of the several new additions for the Giants offense. People are excited about Jalin Hyatt and Parris Campbell as well, but Waller has the potential to be a monster for this offense down in the red zone.
While he's battled several injuries over the past two seasons, the hope is that Waller can make a huge impact for this team from start to finish in 2023. So far, he's turning plenty of heads at OTAs and the hype won't be dropping anytime soon.
