Everyone was hoping for the NY Giants to get off to a rocking start against the Minnesota Vikings on offense. It was needed for Daniel Jones to not only build some confidence, but also for him to silence his haters. Unfortunately, early on against the Vikes defense, that simply hasn't been the case.

On NY's opening offensive drive of the season, the G-Men went 3-and-out. On the second play, Jones tossed a poor ball to Devin Singletary, leading to a big loss. Then on third down, Jones and Co. were called for a delay of game, which set up 3rd-and-19. A dropped pass by Theo Johnson made things worse. So, how do fans feel about things? Not great at all.

NY Giants fans are losing patience quickly with Daniel Jones in Week 1

Yeah, people aren't happy in East Rutherford. Shortly after the punt, though, Minnsota turned the ball over thanks to an unreal play from rookie cornerback Dru Phillips. He laid a perfect hit on a Vikings pass-catcher and Bobby Okereke was there to scoop the ball up.

The turnover set up Jones and the Giants offense deep in Minnesota territory. After getting a first down and setting up 1st-and-goal, Big Blue couldn't punch the ball in for a touchdown. Graham Gano was able to connect on a field goal to make things 3-0, but it really felt like Jones left points off the board.

Brian Daboll was seen shaking his head on the sidelines too thanks to some sloppy play from his offense, which nobody wanted to see early on in the regular season. Jones and his guys need to clean things up on that side of the ball. The defense has looked brilliant, but they're going to need the O to deliver with some great plays too.
