Throughout the offseason, something tells us you've heard the name Darren Waller mentioned a time or two when discussing the NY Giants. Now that Waller is in East Rutherford, he's one of the many offensive additions who will have huge expectations for the 2023 campaign.

For signal-caller Daniel Jones, Waller being in town has to be an amazing feeling. Not only that, but the Giants, in addition to signing Parris Campbell, were also able to trade up in the NFL Draft to select Jalin Hyatt in the third round.

Waller is going to be a big-bodied target for Danny Dimes to throw to, while Hyatt will open up the field with his incredible speed. Giants legend Shaun O'Hara has seen all the talk surrounding these two and he's more than ready to buy into the hype:

Darren Waller and Jalin Hyatt will be key for the Giants offense in 2023

O'Hara, a Super Bowl winner with the G-Men, noted in the video above at around the 1:35 mark that the Giants simply have to be more explosive on offense next season - they can't rely on 'dink and dunk' plays from Jones, which makes sense. With that, though, O'Hara didn't hesitate in saying how excited he is for both Waller and Hyatt.

With Waller in particular, he gives the Giants the kind of playmaker who can be a big-time matchup problem for opposing defenses. Then with Hyatt, his speed is going to make him an electric option for this offense. It'll be on offensive coordinator Mike Kafka to bring out the best in him.

Improving the passing game was clearly a major focus for Schoen this offseason. While the Giants still don't have a true WR1 on the roster, we have a feeling the other standout pass-catchers will be ready to answer the call when it's their time to shine. This of course includes Waller, a former Pro-Bowler, and Hyatt.
