What we've seen out of NY Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers thus far this season has been out of this world. Matter of fact, it has been historic. Taken with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Nabers has exceeded expectations for Brian Daboll thus far. The only problem here is that his outstanding play has come in a 1-3 start to the campaign.

In the Week 4 loss to Dallas, a game the Giants felt they let slip away, Nabers posted 12 receptions for 115 yards. Yup, that's enough to get the fanbase hyped up. However, Nabers had a drop late in the action on 4th down - unfortunately on that play, he also suffered his concussion.

It was the second time Daniel Jones and Nabers couldn't connect on a 4th-down play, with the first coming in the Week 2 loss to the Commanders. Since then, some have questioned whether or not the rookie can be trusted in pressure situations. Right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor doesn't want to hear any of that nonsense:

Malik Nabers has been nothing short of brilliant for the NY Giants

Yes, Nabers hasn't been 100 percent perfect for the Giants, but sheesh, he's at about 99.9 percent over in East Rutherford. The G-Men haven't had a quality WR1 in years. Now that they have one, some people out there are going to just expect him to be flawless?

Nabers leads the NFL with his 35 receptions, while he's second in the league with 386 yards and tied for third with three touchdowns. You couldn't have asked for a better start to the campaign for him. Keep in mind he's only played in four pro games - the youngster is just 21 years old too.

Everyone can't expect Nabers to be the savior for this team. As electric as he's been, No. 1 can't do everything on his own. He's been amazing to watch and easily the biggest bright spot for this team despite the slow start. People complaining about him need to get a grip - Nabers is one of the best wideouts in the game already and the stats back that up.
