This one is going to sting for a little while. To start Week 4, the NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys faced off for some Thursday Night Football action and the G-Men were in a great spot to post an upset win. However, Dallas made the necessary plays to come out on top and the Giants simply did not.

Before the final whistle, though, hearts dropped all over East Rutherford when wideout Malik Nabers tried to come down with a 4th-down pass, but the ball hit the turf and he landed awkwardly on his head. Nabers was down on the field for an extended period of time and when he got up, he was helped back to the locker room by trainers. It has since been announced that he suffered a concussion.

Malik Nabers suffered a concussion late in the loss to Dallas

With the Giants playing early this week, they're off for the next 10 days before taking on the Seattle Seahawks on the road on Oct. 6. You'd hope that'd be enough time for Nabers to clear the concussion protocol and put the pads back on.

However, the Giants are of course going to want to be incredibly careful with their superstar receiver. Over the last three games, we've seen just how important he has been for Daniel Jones and the offense as a whole.

Before going down with his injury, Nabers caught 12 balls for 115 yards. This came after his two-touchdown performance in Week 3 vs. Cleveland, and the 127-yard contest vs. the Commanders. The first-year sensation is already looking like one of the best WRs in the game.

Unfortunately for him, he's now dealing with this head injury, which also came on a drop late in the action. It was a tough reception to post, but still one he should have had for his team. Soon enough we'll find out more on Nabers, but the hope is he can get back to full health as soon as possible. This team and Brian Daboll need him for Week 5.
