With months worth of excitement having been built up prior to the NY Giants' Sunday Night Football matchup against the Cowboys, many thought there was a real chance that New York could beat their division rival to start the season. Instead, we got one of, if not the worst games in the entire history of the Giants.

Not only was this the largest margin of victory for a blowout in the history of this rivalry, but it truly seems like everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong for the Giants. While the entire team didn't show up this week, it's hard to watch the performances of these four players and not put a good amount of blame on them:

4. QB Daniel Jones

It's hard to put all the blame on Daniel Jones considering the fact that he was constantly under pressure due to some horrid offensive line play. Despite this, he simply didn't look good on Sunday and has to improve going into Week 2 against the Cardinals.

For the game, Jones completed 15 of his 28 pass attempts for 104 yards and two interceptions. While in all fairness, Jones' first interception was the result of Saquon Barkley dropping a pass after a hit, but his second pick was simply inexcusable. These sorts of plays were nonexistent from Jones last season and if he goes back to making them, the Giants could be in big trouble.

Jones started the game off incredibly well, the whole team did. However, after the opening drive ended in disaster, it was over for the Giants offense. Everything snowballed into chaos and there was no returning to the fluidity we saw at the start of the contest.

The supporting cast around Jones was not helping him by any means, but that's no excuse for this sort of throw and a lot of the other miscues he had this game. Jones is in Year 5 now and with the contract he received this offseason, he must play better. Jones will have a much better opportunity heading into next week against the Cardinals. With how bad Arizona is looking to be this season, there are no excuses for Jones not to show out.
