NY Giants Super Bowl Wins, Record & History
Expectations are high for the NY Giants entering the 2023 season. This team is hoping to get back to the postseason. After all the moves that general manager Joe Schoen was able to pull off in recent months, could a trip to the Super Bowl be on the way?
It's too early to tell, but fans are dreaming of the day Big Blue can get back to the big game. The Giants of course are no strangers to capturing the Lombardi Trophy, as this organization has plenty of Super Bowl glory to its name. With that said, when have the G-Men gone on to win it all?
Super Bowl XXI win: New York Giants 39 - Denver Broncos 20
This is a game that die-hard fans aren't going to ever forget, as the Giants took on Hall of Famer John Elway in a matchup that the G-Men were supposed to lose. Hey, when you take on someone like Elway, then you're surely going to be in for a long day defensively. However, Big Blue rose to the occassion and pulled off a brilliant win.
This was a high-scoring affair, with the Giants putting up 39 points. Phil Simms proved to be the best QB in action on that day, throwing for 268 yards and three touchdowns. The Big Blue Wrecking Crew made the difference on the other side of the ball, making life hell for Elway and Co.
Super Bowl XXV win: New York Giants 20 - Buffalo Bills 19
Your heart broke for Scott Norwood, but not if you were a Giants fan. This epic Super Bowl between the G-Men and Bills will never be forgotten, as Buffalo had a chance to win things with a 47-yarder from Norwood. However, the ball sailed right, and the Giants were able to take home their second Super Bowl title. Goodness, what a finish!
Super Bowl XLII win: New York Giants 17 - New England Patriots 14
This game had it all. The David Tyree catch to set up the game-winner was one thing, the Eli Manning TD pass to Plaxico Burress to break New England hearts late in the fourth quarter was another. This was one of the most heart-stopping wins we've ever seen, and it also ruined Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck's dream of a perfect season.
Super Bowl XLVI win: New York Giants 21- New England Patriots 17
This was another epic showdown between the Giants and Patriots, with the same result. New England was considered a heavy favorite to take down the Giants, but Manning and Co. didn't give a damn about that. Mario Manningham's unreal grab late in the action will never be forgotten either. Eli took care of business vs. TB and everyone, outside of Boston, loved seeing it.
Super Bowl XXXV loss: Baltimore Ravens 34 - New York Giants 7
This was a Super Bowl showdown that Giants fans are going to want to forget about. Plain and simple, Baltimore dominated this game and Big Blue was never in contention to come away with a win. While this loss was a bit of a disappointment, it doesn't take away from the fact that the Giants have a 4-1 Super Bowl record. Let's see if they can get back to the early February showdown soon.
