Come Saturday night, the NY Giants and New York Jets will face off in what should be a fun preseason showdown. While the Big Blue veterans aren't expected to take the field, Aaron Rodgers is all set to make his Gang Green debut. That's enough to provide us with countless headlines leading up to kickoff.

Rodgers is looking forward to the challenge and so is G-Men defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. Before practice on Wednesday, Wink was asked about facing AR12 this weekend. Martindale has a ton of respect for Rodgers, but he also joked that he's not planning on taking things easy on him either:

Martindale knows how dangerous Rodgers can be with the ball in his hands, but he's going to ready to make his life difficult for this preseason matchup. Hey, don't forget that Martindale has experience preventing the future Hall of Famer from finding his groove.

Last fall, the Giants and Packers, Rodgers' old team, faced off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London. Green Bay was a massive favorite for that one, with virtually no one giving Big Blue a chance to leave England with a win.

In shocking fashion, Daniel Jones and Co. came away with a 27-22 victory. Rodgers tossed for 222 yards and two touchdowns that game, but the Giants defense was able to make enough plays late to secure the massive upset. Martindale and his world-famous pressure proved to be enough to take down Rodgers across the pond.

While this preseason game doesn't have the same kind of excitement as that meeting abroad, Giants fans would love nothing more than to ruin Rodgers' East Rutherford debut. It'll be on Martindale to try and spoil the party for everyone in a Jets jersey at MetLife.
