NY Giants WR Parris Campbell is a huge fan of Daniel Jones early on
Easily one of the main takeaways from NY Giants minicamp was the strong play of new wideout Parris Campbell. The speedster was spotted in East Rutherford building chemistry with Daniel Jones, which surely brought a smile to Brian Daboll's face.
While a lot of the offseason attention for the aerial attack has gone to Darren Waller and Jalin Hyatt, countless Big Blue supporters can't wait to see what kind of impact Campbell can have. This offseason, Campbell and Jones have looked sharp together, with the young wideout also making it clear he's a big fan of Danny Dimes' work ethic thus far. This is a great sign for these two moving forward:
NY Giants WR Parris Campbell is enjoying his time in East Rutherford
When meeting with the media earlier this week, you could tell just how excited Campbell is to be in this new offense catching balls from Jones. Jones himself is coming off the best season of his career, helping lead the G-Men to a 9-7-1 record and a trip to the Divisional Round.
Campbell was solid for the Indianapolis Colts last season, posting 63 receptions for 623 yards and three touchdowns. He was one of the many pass-catchers added this offseason by Joe Schoen, as improving the passing game was obviously a major focus for the second-year GM.
Campbell has a ton of potential for this offense moving forward. So much in fact, several experts have mentioned him as someone who could potentially become a 'breakout player' this season. Giants supporters would of course be over the moon if that were to happen.
For the first time in a while, there's solid depth for the Giants at receiver. Campbell is a guy that people should be fired up to see in action once Week 1 arrives. Look for him to showcase his game early on.
