Kids these days will never understand how incredible pass-rusher Osi Umenyiora was back in the day for the NY Giants. Straight up, he was a monster in the trenches, working as an incredible mate to Michael Strahan, one of the best ever.

Throughout his career, Umenyiora put up incredible numbers and he played a big role in the Giants lifting the Lombardi Trophy high into the sky in 2008 and 2012. With the G-Men releasing their Top 100 players of all time, it should be no surprise that he made the cut. It was just announced that Umenyiora has checked in at No. 32 on the list and his reaction was downright awesome:

Come on, you've got to love that post from Osi. Big Blue means the world to him, so it's understandable that this moment is everything for him. Hey, he certainly deserved his ranking too, as Umenyiora was a total force going up against NFC East offensive linemen.

Back in 2007, he was downright electric for head man Tom Coughlin. That season, Umenyiora posted 13 sacks. We of course have to highlight his wild performance against the Eagles, with him taking down Donovan McNabb six times in one game. Six!

That's basically unheard of, but the Philly hosses had no answer for him all game. Throughout his NY career, Umenyiora finished with 75 sacks, good enough for fourth in team history - he sits behind Strahan, Lawrence Taylor and Leonard Marshall.

Umenyiora was with the Giants from 2003-2012 before joining the Falcons for the final two seasons of his career. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time First-Team All Pro while playing in East Rutherford. He'll always be a fan favorite. At the same time, he'll always be honored on the Top 100 list and in the Giants' Ring of Honor too.
