Refs gifted the Vikings a TD with horrible PI call on Giants CB Adoree' Jackson

How in the world was this called?

It wouldn't be an NY Giants game without a controversial call coming in from the officials. In the first quarter of the battle with the Minnesota Vikings, New York was up 3-0 and it looked like they were about to force a punt after a Sam Darnold deep ball hit the turf. Instead, laundry was thrown for pass interference on veteran cornerback Adoree' Jackson.

At first, it looked like it was the right call. However, a closer look at things shows that Jackson made a play on the ball late, turned his body around and Jordan Addison jumped into the Big Blue defensive back. This should never have been called pass interference. Instead, it was and the Vikings were gifted a free 36 yards:

A terrible DPI call on Giants CB Adoree' Jackson should have never happened

Seriously, what did the official see there? Addison did a great job selling the contact, but Jackson did everything right. On that same drive, Minnsota was able to take advantage of the free yardage and they capped things off with an Aaron Jones touchdown run.

The Giants defense was looking strong early on, but their backs were put against the walls there thanks to the zebras. Unfortunately for the fans in the stands, the Big Blue offense has looked brutal. So bad in fact, G-Men supporters were booing Jones and Co. after only two plays. Seriously?

It hasn't been a great start for New York, which is what this team needed to avoid. Jones is facing a ton of pressure and he's not delivering. At the same time, it's not all on him. The team overall has looked sluggish and that can't be the case when you're taking on a team as talented as Minnesota. Oh and the refs? They can't be giving away cheap yards like this either. It's inexcusable.
