Sauce Gardner responds to everyone losing their minds over his Daniel Jones take

Sauce Gardner took the podium after the joint practice between the NY Giants and the crosstown rival New York Jets, leaving Big Blue fans and the media talking. The two-time Pro Bowler was asked to evaluate Daniel Jones and struggled to compliment the Giants' veteran quarterback. While the Giants may not have "won the day" or been at their best, Jones was not entirely at fault.

Jones completed 13 of his 19 pass attempts for one touchdown and no interceptions. He would've had two more touchdowns if not for drops from rookie tight end Theo Johnson and receiver Malik Nabers, where Gardner got the best of both of them. The Jets' defensive back was everywhere, and the Giants did not have an answer for him, as he successfully locked down the G-Men receivers.

When Gardner was asked about the Giants signal caller, he was at a loss for words. The Jets cornerback couldn't help but crack a smile and stuttered through a laugh. He started by saying that he thought Jones was a "good quarterback" but struggled to finish the response to the question. While Gardner didn't necessarily troll the Giants QB or say anything negative about his game, he held back from chirping and struggled to find the right words to describe Jones. It had countless people convinced Gardner doesn't think too highly of Danny Dimes.

These comments from the 2022 No. 4 overall pick sparked much conversation on X and left many Giants fans talking and reacting to Sauce's take on Jones. Most Giants fans, in general, aren't too worried about what the stud CB had to say. They are more concerned with how the quarterback will perform this year, with this likely being Jones' final season with Big Blue.

Gardner responded to the clip by restating on his personal X account that he still thinks Jones is a "good quarterback." He cleared up the comments about him stuttering through the answer by saying that he was distracted mid-interview and told the fans to chill out.
