2. Darren Waller let down Danny Dimes down more than once
Against the Cardinals, it was great to see Darren Waller become a reliable option for Jones in the second half. However, Waller looked off his game on Thursday in Santa Clara. He ended up posting only three receptions for 20 yards, which isn't going to cut it if the Giants expect to go toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the NFC.
Waller had two plays he definitely wants back too. The first was a throw over the middle from Jones that was a fingernail too high. Still, though, Waller couldn't leap up a little more to come down with it? Then of course, there was the Daniel Jones interception that hit Waller in the hands, popped up and was eventually picked off. This is a play that Waller needs to be able to make for his QB:
Through three games, the chemistry between Waller and Jones hasn't been what people were hoping for. Waller is a former Pro Bowler and he needs to start playing like one. The season is still early and No. 12 has more than enough time to remind fans of how great he can be. We're optimistic he'll bounce back in Week 4, as Waller will be needed to try and top the Hawks.
