It's almost showtime for the NY Giants going up against the Dallas Cowboys. This is a game people have had circled on their calendars for a while now, and the wait is almost over. Come Sunday night, stars on both teams will be ready to put on a show. However, don't forget about some of the lesser-known names too.
Everyone knows what to expect from the Giants' biggest stars like Dexter Lawrence and Saquon Barkley. However, if the Giants want to record an upset against Dallas, then these three players will need to do their part as well:
3. TE Daniel Bellinger
With the Giants and Joe Schoen acquiring Darren Waller this offseason, many have forgotten just how huge this move could be for second-year tight end Daniel Bellinger. Most of the hype surrounding this move has been between Waller and Daniel Jones. However, people need to know how much this will open things up for Bellinger, especially in the red zone.
They may have played just one possession together, but during this time, Giants fans were already given a glimpse of how Mike Kafka could use both Waller and Bellinger in the red zone. To keep it simple, the attention Waller will draw from linebackers and safeties will make it much easier for Bellinger to find space over the middle and in the flats. This is exactly how Bellinger scored his TD against the Panthers last month:

We've already seen how the Giants can use Bellinger in creative sets, so adding Waller is only going to spice things up. The Cowboys have a pretty weak linebacker and safety core, which should make it easy to exploit in double TE sets. Dallas' defense is already going to struggle guarding Waller, so with all the attention he's bound to get, we fully expect Bellinger to feast.
Even outside of Week 1, the Giants have the chance to establish one of the best one-two punches at TE in the NFL. Between Waller's receiving abilities and Bellinger's blocking/red zone presence, there will likely be no stopping these two.
