If anything, maybe we have to thank Jordan Addison for giving us another reason to get excited about September creeping up on us. Once Sept. 8 gets here, the G-Men will host Minnesota for the season-opener and the NY Giants will hope to start the campaign on the right foot.

It looks like Addison has given the team more motivation to post a win, while Giants Nation has another reason to boo the Minnesota players with all their hearts. On social media, a Giants fan remains quite confident NY will come out on top once Week 1 rolls around. Addison, however, has no doubt in his mind the Vikings will be the ones celebrating.

Jordan Addison is confident the Vikings will take down the NY Giants Week 1

Addison will look to have his way with the Giants secondary. Luckily for him, Deonte Banks will be matched up with Justin Jefferson, while the CB2 for NY will likely be Cor'Dale Flott, unless Joe Schoen goes out and signs a veteran cornerback in free agency.

There are still some intriguing options out there, including Patrick Paterson, though after he bashed Daniel Jones, don't expect Schoen to reach out to him. So, if Addison does go up against Flott, it'll be an interesting battle.

How sweet would it be to see Flott shut him down? Things will only be made better if the Giants can take down the Vikings and do so in convincing fashion. In order for that to happen, the defense will need to step up, while we'll need to see a healthy and focused Daniel Jones.

Once camp gets here, we'll get a better idea of how this team is going to be looking for the Week 1 matchup with the Vikes. We're still a bit away from that contest, but Addison has plenty of people talking due to his confidence about topping the Giants. Let's see if NY will make him eat his words - the fanbase is surely hoping that proves to be the case.
