Ladies and gentlemen, NY Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has arrived. Easily one of the biggest and best takeaways from Day 2 of training camp was that the wideout looked downright electric. Just ask stud cornerback Deonte Banks about that.
During the latest session, the two faced off multiple times for some one-on-one drills. On back-to-back plays, Nabers was able to come out on top of his battle with the second-year CB. On one catch, Nabers was able to post an unreal catch for a score.
As soon as he made magic happen, he then was seen barking at Banks and reminding him of how great he can be. This is something Big Blue fan will absolutely love to see:
NY Giants rookie Malik Nabers had a monster day at training camp
That was textbook defense from Banks. Nine times out of 10, he'd be the one celebrating here. However, when you go up against someone as talented as Nabers, who was taken with the No. 6 overall pick, you're bound to take an L or two.
Banks plays with just as much confidence and swagger and Nabers, so you know he's going to be chomping at the bit to get some revenge on the rookie later on in camp. As for Nabers, this wipes away a not-so great opening session of summer practices for him.
Plenty of haters were trying to roast him after Daniel Jones delivered a ball that hit him right on the numbers, only for the speedster to somehow drop it. It wasn't something we'd expect out of Nabers - it looks like he's human after all.
Now, those same haters can take a nice trip to shut-it town after seeing what Nabers was able to get done going up against Banks. More of the same leading up to the preseason, please, young man.
