When you open up social media these days, it seems like everyone is trying to get their best shot in on NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Throughout training camp, Jones has had a bit of an issue getting the ball downfield.

On some throws, he's on the money, while on others, he has looked rough - the inconsistency is a problem. However, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka doesn't see things that way. If anything, Kafka is happy Jones is letting the ball rip. At the end of the day, this is why we practice, per the third-year OC:

Mike Kafka isn't worried about Daniel Jones and his inconsistent downfield passing

"I think it's just part of practicing. You can go across the league and see throws that are overthrown and underthrown. It's just part of getting on the same page with everyone and working through those things. That's why we practice it."

Mike Kafka on Daniel Jones

Does Kafka have a point? Following Day 6 of camp, plenty of Jones haters were calling for the former No. 6 overall pick to start giving up some of his reps with the 1s to backup signal-caller Drew Lock. Maybe that lit a fire under Jones? For Day 7, he looked much sharper, including another home-run play with Malik Nabers. We really can't talk enough about how special the rookie is looking already:

Nabers, who has been electric throughout camp, put a double move on Cor'Dale Flott, leaving the young cornerback in his dust. Jones put the ball in a place where only Nabers could come down with it as well.

Yes, inconsistent play has been a theme for Jones in East Rutherford, but as long as he's able to clean things up over the next few weeks, Brian Daboll will be able to sleep at night. The preseason is going to be huge for Jones, as he has to make sure the disappointing throws are a thing of the past for when Week 1 gets here. Kafka is confident he'll be ready to rock on all levels for the season-opener.
