The biggest story from the NY Giants offseason has been the Saquon Barkley saga. Despite the majority of media members and analysts saying that paying an aging running back is foolish, the Giants have still gotten tons of flack for letting Barkley walk.

Even with Barkley's departure happening months ago, people have still been talking about it, even Barkley himself. Not only has he taken to social media to try and justify his decision to join the Giants' biggest rival, but on a recent podcast with Dianna Russini, Barkley went more in-depth on how he felt about Joe Schoen letting him test the market.

Saquon Barkley called out the NY Giants for having him test the market

On the podcast, Barkley told Russini how he felt about Schoen telling him to go out and find his best offer. Clearly, the two-time Pro Bowler didn't love hearing that from his now former general manager. You can tell just how annoyed he was in this clip below:

This is an understandable take from Barkley - he had been with the Giants his entire career up to this point and when it was time for him to get a proper contract following the 2023 season, Schoen did not give him one. We get why he didn't, and in the modern NFL it makes sense not to pay Barkley a ton given the team's situation, but we also understand why Barkley is upset by this.

Schoen never really showed loyalty toward Barkley, whether it was the right decision to or not. The 26-year-old back gave his all for six seasons with the Giants, consistently playing behind the worst offensive line in the NFL on bad teams, and then when it came time to get paid by his team, he wasn't.

It's incredibly easy to see why Barkley sees this as a slap in the face, but at the same time, plenty of fans also understand why Schoen didn't want to break the bank to keep him in town. Now, we all have to get used to Barkley playing with Philly.
