The long wait is almost over. Unfortunately for NY Giants fans, just about everyone assumed that the 2024 NFL schedule would be released this week. Big Blue supporters were ready to start booking flights and hotels for away games.

Not so fast, as things have been delayed. However, the good news is that things have finally been locked in. It has been announced that the 2024 NFL schedule will be posted on Wednesday, May 15. That's right, soon enough, we'll know all the game days for the G-Men, including who they'll be facing off against come Week 1.

Soon enough too, we'll find out which primetime games the Giants will be featured in as well. We'll also know which defense Daniel Jones (most likely) will have to get ready for to kickoff the new campaign.

We say most likely because once training camp gets here, there's a feeling that Jones is going to be in a see-saw battle with Drew Lock for the QB1 job. While Joe Schoen has said Jones is his guy when healthy, all these Lock rumors haven't come in from out of nowhere.

Regardless of who's under center, the Giants need to show a little more fight in '24 compared to what we saw last fall and winter. In 2022, New York limped its way to a 6-11 record and the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft - they of course used that pick on LSU wideout Malik Nabers.

Nabers is only one of several exciting additions for this team, with the list including Brian Burns, Tyler Nubin, Jon Runyan Jr., and many others. Brian Daboll and Schoen know the pressure is going to be on for them to deliver in Year 3 with the organization. Come May 15, we'll know exactly what they'll be up against in trying to get this team back on the right track.
