Whatever Russell Wilson did to Chris Jones, the 31-year-old clearly hasn’t forgotten. Speaking with NBC’s Melissa Stark after the Kansas City Chiefs’ 22-9 win over the New York Giants, the veteran defensive lineman had some choice words for the 36-year-old quarterback.
Stark noted that Jones had been hoping for a jersey swap with Russ for some time, but it never happened. And as it turns out, he’s completely lost interest in a jersey from the future Hall-of-Famer.
When asked if he tried again after the game, Jones didn’t hold back — his response definitively eviscerated any and all lingering respect for Russ: "I don't even want it. It's all good. I don't want it, hey — over time, you kind of understand that... I don't even want it anymore."

Chris Jones throws shade at Russell Wilson after Giants’ miserable Week 3 performance
Who’s to say Russ would’ve been up for a swap anyway? He probably would have denied Jones once more. The veteran quarterback had an objectively terrible game, losing his home opener in Giants blue at MetLife Stadium in the worst possible way.
He picked quite the night to turn off, and his performance did nothing to earn anyone’s confidence in him continuing as the starter going forward.
It was a total collapse from the opening kickoff to the final whistle, with Wilson at the very center of it. He finished the game 18-of-32 for 160 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. The 14-year vet was brought in this past offseason to bring stability to the QB room, but he’s done anything but.
Mr. Unlimited looked pretty limited, if not solely on the field, then definitely in the jersey-swapping department. It's just insult to injury at this point and a complete embarrassment.
Jones, like most fans, sees what’s obvious. Wilson’s best days are long gone. Why would he want this version of Russ on his wall anyway? To commemorate such a trash performance? Maybe a Seahawks jersey made sense once. Now it's an emphatic no, thanks.
There's clearly some unresolved beef that deserves some uncovering. There's likely some bad blood from the brief time they spent as divisional rivals when Russ was quarterbacking the Denver Broncos, but still... this is a shot and a half at the guy. The way Stark asked the question made it seem like this was a talking point that was already out there. Let's just say Jones took the bit to a whole new level Sunday night.
