For the first time in his NFL career, former NY Giants running back Saquon Barkley saw from the other side how passionate Big Blue supporters can be. Now that he's suiting up for the Eagles, Barkley had to figure the fanbase was going to let him have it at MetLife Stadium.

While Barkley said leading up to the game that he figured thing Giants fans were over him joining the enemy, that wasn't the case on Sunday. As soon as the Eagles offense took the field, loud boos were thrown onto the stadium. As you might have been able to guess, they were directed at the former No. 2 overall pick.

Well, plenty of people might be even more upset with Barkley once they find out what happened leading up to kickoff. Per the FOX broadcast, Barkley told Kristina Pink that he saw people burning his jersey on the way in. How did Barkley react? With a laugh:

Saquon Barkley has no issues at all with NY Giants fans roasting him

It's clear that Barkley isn't going to care at all what happens in the stands for this one either. All offseason, he became used to having people in New York and New Jersey rip him all over social media - it's something he kind of shrugged off.

Now, though, he's getting a new look at how people in the area still feel about him. Had Barkley joined any different team, people wouldn't be so upset with him the way they are now. However, he just had to know that joining Philly was going to be a major problem.

Thus far this season, the Eagles are 3-2 on the year. In his first game with the Eagles, Barkley scored three touchdowns, which ticked off Giants Nation as a whole. In Week 7, though, the Giants are hoping to keep him quiet, while also posting an upset win. As for Barkley, he better get used to hearing those boos in the stands. Many more are on the way.
