The Malik Nabers–Russell Wilson connection already looks pretty sweet. Yes, it’s literally only been one day of training camp, but the New York Giants might have found something special.

Russ has wasted no time hyping up his new favorite target. He’s been vocal about how impressed he is with Nabers, and it’s easy to see why. Routine throws are already turning into highlight-reel grabs—like the absurd touchdown play where Nabers briefly moonlighted as a Cirque du Soleil performer.

Take a look at the video below and try not to feel the hype heading into the season:

On what looked like a simple fade route, Nabers had Deonte Banks all over him but managed to keep inside leverage. He jumped, fought through contact, and initially appeared to lose control of the ball — but then somehow pulled it in just before hitting the turf. It was equal parts body control, focus, and physics-defying.

He’s already looking like he’s in midseason form... if not better (if that's possible). That should have the rest of the league sweating.

Malik Nabers is an absolute dog, and his connection with Russell Wilson is automatic

This is exactly what Big Blue Nation has been waiting to see. Nabers went through the fire as a rookie and came out looking like one of the league’s next stars. He was the only thing holding the offense together last year, and now, with some actual stability at quarterback, we’re starting to see what this thing could really become.

The chemistry with Wilson wasn’t just flashes either. They connected multiple times in red zone drills and kept working after practice. That’s not nothing — it’s the kind of thing that matters by the time the season rolls around.

Wilson hasn’t had a receiver like this since his prime Seattle years, and the trust is already building. You can feel it in the way they operate. Timing, communication, spacing — it all looks natural. Nabers got 170 targets last season and still left plays on the table.

With a full 17-game slate, better quarterback play, and more structure in the offense, it’s not a stretch to think he can push even higher.

Training camp is just getting started, but the tone’s already been set. Nabers is the guy, and the Giants are finally giving him a setup to thrive in.
