Von Miller just gave Giants fans an offseason eye-roll they didn’t need

Couldn't be more ready to move Von from this nonsense.

We all know the old saying, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.” But what if you could beat them, but you decide to join them anyway because the universe is a cruel, unfair place and loves a good punchline?

That's certainly the vibe floating around the NFC East right now as future Hall of Fame pass-rusher, Von Miller, at 37 years old, is out here playing with New York Giants fans' emotions.

The 2011 second overall pick recently dropped a photoshopped Instagram Story of himself in a Dallas Cowboys uniform, wearing No. 24. Complete with a Paul Wall "They Don't Know" soundtrack, a "shhh" emoji, and a cowboy hat, because why do anything subtly when you can take it to the social media rooftops?

As Giants fans, we can only sit back and collectively roll our eyes at the thought of him repping the Star on his helmet.

Even when the Cowboys aren’t the ones driving the Looney Tunes clown show, the tent somehow pitches right over Arlington anyway. Chalk it up to the house that Jerry Jones built. Everything in Cowboy Land has to be made a spectacle.

Dallas finds a new way to make Giants fans roll their eyes with Von Miller drama

But just because it feels more attention-seeking than anything else right now, don't think this is something to just overlook.

There's an uncomfortable truth hiding in a potential Miller-to-Dallas move. We must acknowledge it, even if it hurts to say out loud: even though he's no longer the All-Pro/Pro-Bowl defensive demon he was 10 years ago, the 15-year veteran is still an objective problem.

He spent last season with the Washington Commanders and was surprisingly productive, racking up 9.0 sacks and 15 quarterback hits. He's not an every-down player anymore, but the guy is still an elite quarterback hunter, especially in obvious pass-rushing situations.

And everyone and their cousin's cat knows Dallas needs the help. The front office is still reeling from its hilariously colossal Micah Parsons blunder, where they managed to alienate and trade away one of the best defensive players in all of football. To fix the self-inflicted wound, Jerry and Co. have thrown a lot of draft picks at the wall.

They drafted Donovan Ezeiruaku in 2025 and just added two rookie pass-rushers, Jaishawn Barham and Malachi Lawrence, in the 2026 Draft.

But rookies take time to develop, and Jerry does patience like the Cowboys win Super Bowls. So, of course, a legendary pass-rusher is flirting with them on social media in the hopes of making something happen. Adding Miller to their young core would give Dallas something it hasn't had in a while: a dominant pass rush.

We’ll see if Dallas actually bites -- early reporting suggests they aren't interested -- but until then, Big Blue fans just have to wait and see.
