New York Giants vs Arizona Cardinals: TV, Radio and Stream

There is no opportunity quite like an NFL home opener to rebuild team confidence… or potentially eradicate it further. Which direction the momentum flutters is squarely in the hands of the New York Giants coaching staff and personnel units. The Giants will crack open the MetLife Stadium regular season turnstiles at 1 PM EST when the Arizona Cardinals roll into town. Win or lose, the Giants desperately need to display an improved on-field product to its already flummoxed fanbase. Another lifeless effort would be deteriorating.

These two teams last faced off in week #4 of the 2011 season, wherein the Giants escaped University of Phoenix Stadium with a 31-27 victory. They lit up the scoreboard for 21 fourth quarter points, sparked by Brandon Jacobs, Jake Ballard and Hakeem Nicks touchdowns — none of whom are still with the organization in 2014. The Giants have held the upper hand in the last four meetings since 2005, 4-0 (42-point margin).

Players to Watch:
Giants — CB, Walter Thurmond | Thurmond will be matched up with rookie slot freak, John Brown, early and often. WTIII has been grabby during his Giants tenure and the quickness of Brown could lead to multiple defensive holdings in coverage. Thurmond was targeted four times in Detroit, and all four were completed for minimal damage of 29 yards.
Cardinals — WR, Michael Floyd | While Floyd doesn’t possess the same physical prowess as Megatron, at 220 lbs he’s a powerful wide receiver with matchup nightmare potential. Floyd can beat you in a possession role, after the catch and vertically. He snagged five passes for 119 yards in the season opener vs. San Diego, including a 63-yarder.
