How well has Eli Manning fared against the Dallas Cowboys over the course of his decade long career?
Let’s take a look at some of the numbers. Eli has faced the team a total of 20 times: 19 regular season games, 1 playoff win. Combined he’s defeated the Dallas Cowboys with his New York Football Giants team on 11 different occasions, throwing 40 TD’s and 22 INT’s. That’s including the playoff game.
Dallas Cowboy fans and writers are quick to point out this tidbit:

And perhaps that’s true, however the Giants have been installing the West Coast Offense all season. They also have a lot of young fresh players on the team. They may not have any touchdowns against the Cowboys on their resume, but a guy like Rueben Randle did have a 100 game against Dallas just last season. That’s without mentioning 2x Super Bowl winning champion QB, Eli Manning.

There’s definitely some goose eggs in there from a touchdown stand point. But there’s also some goose eggs for INT’s too. Understand, this is a series that has went back and fourth, up and down, left and right since the 1960’s.
With Manning battling the Cowboys, the G-Men always have a shot at victory. This weekend the Giants may not have Victor Cruz, but they have guys like the newly signed former Cowboy, Kevin Ogletree, someone who’s very familiar with the Dallas end zone and the New York Giants one, for that matter.
That’s not saying a whole lot, but combined with Larry Donnell, Odell Beckham Jr., Rueben Randle, Preston Parker, Corey Washington, Adrien Robinson and Daniel Fells. The Giants have a young hungry group that was just embarrassed last week in front of the whole world. This team will have a burning desire to beat the Cowboys and stay in the NFC East divisional race.

This Giants team has what it takes to compete with the Cowboys and Tom Coughlin knows how to rack up point in the Cowboys massive AT&T Stadium. The last five games in Dallas have been high scoring shootouts with a 66.2 ppg average, with the Giants winning three of the contests.
For betting purposes, that doesn’t mean expect a shootout, but it does insinuate that Eli Manning can get it done against the Cowboys and Tony Romo. There’s little question that the Dallas Cowboys are playing very well right now, but looking to the history of this rivalry shows that team BLUE has a decent chance to bounce back this Sunday afternoon.
Victor Cruz may be lost for the season, but “Victory” may be the theme of the game if Eli can find away to stomp the Cowboys one more time.
