Larry Donnell Fantasy Football Week 12 Projection
Larry Donnell has had solid fantasy football value so far this season. His value would be higher if it wasn’t for the New York Giants awful offensive line that has forced Eli Manning to rush throws before certain plays can develop down field where Donnell has done a lot of damage this season, especially on seam routes. What helps keep Donnell’s value solid despite not having eye-popping stats is the fact that there aren’t many serviceable starting tight ends in fantasy football that can be counted on week to week.
Donnell can usually be counted on to deliver four to five receptions per game with 40-60 yards and a touchdown. I expect that trend to continue in Week 12 when Donnell and the struggling Giants take on the division rival Dallas Cowboys at home. Last time Donnell went up against an overachieving Cowboys defense back in Week 7, Donnell finished with seven catches for 90 yards receiving, but also had two costly fumbles that hurt his fantasy stats.

Donnell isn’t known as a great blocking tight end which has taken some of his playing time away in favor of fellow tight end Daniel Fells, but Donnell still sees plenty of targets from Manning who is usually looking for a reliable target to dump the ball off to when the pocket is collapsing faster than you can say Omaha.
Manning had an awful game last week against the San Francisco 49ers, throwing five interceptions, but Donnell still caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown which would have been two if Donnell would have been able to haul in a third and goal fade pass.
In his last three games, Donnell has 11 catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns and he should have another decent game on Sunday night despite the Giants’ struggles. He is worth a look as a starting tight end this week if you don’t have Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham.
Fantasy Football Week 12 Projected Stats: 4 receptions, 55 yards and one touchdown
