Rashad Jennings Fantasy Football Week 13 Projection

Rashad Jennings fantasy stock continues to be effective thanks to his ability to be a dual-threat running back. In the passing game last week against the Dallas Cowboys he was able to make plays both on the ground and through the air. On the night, he ran for 52 yards on 19 carries but recorded 68 receiving yards on eight receptions — with the longest reception going for 27 yards.

If the New York Giants want to begin to put a right on this wrongful season then it should begin by beating up on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Regardless of the Giants’ miniscule playoff chances, if the team has any heart then they should attempt to show it this week.

The Jaguars have been the NFL’s whipping boy by being a team that falls behind early and often. For the team on the giving end, that usually equates to running the ball often to control the clock and putting the game away.

Jennings should have a busy day and find his form from before when he suffered his knee injury. Confidence and morale is also on the line here as Jennings will play with something to prove considering he missed time this season due to injury.

Ranked 28th in the NFL in terms of rushing yards-allowed (130.6 through week 12), the Jaguars field a woeful defense overall in terms of stopping the run. The good news for them is that defensive end Andre Branch practiced in limited capacity on Wednesday and has a chance to play.

Jennings should be a high-end RB2-play in standard and PPR leagues. One cannot expect for him to catch another eight receptions but a handful is still reasonable.
