2015 NFL Draft Big Board: Prospects 26-50

facebooktwitterreddit

It is the 2015 NFL Draft season, and I could not be more excited. Last week I gave you the beginning of my big board; the top 25 draft prospects. This week, I present the prospects ranked 26-50 on my big board.

Ranking prospects is never an easy task. First I rank the players by position group. Then using my position rankings as a point of reference, I try to place a value on each prospect. A big board is simply a ranking each prospects value. It is subjective and every big board will be different. This in essence is my opinion in list form.

Without further ado, here is my second prospect list of the top 26-50 players of the draft:

26. Alvin Dupree, OLB (Kentucky)

27. Ereck Flowers, OT (Miami)

28. Derron Smith, FS (Fresno State)

29. Nate Orchard, DE/OLB (Utah)

30. Malcolm Brown, DT (Texas)

31. Todd Gurley, RB (Georgia)

32. Jameis Winston, QB (FSU)

33. Sammie Coates, WR (Auburn)

34. Melvin Gordon, RB (Wisconsin)

35. Cody Prewitt, FS (Ole Miss)

36. Gerod Holliman, FS (Louisville)

37. Arie Kouandjio, OG (Alabama)

38. Michael Bennett, DT (OSU)

39. Ameer Abdullah, RB (Nebraska)

40. Arik Armstead, DT (Oregon)

41. Dorial Green-Beckham WR (Oklahoma)

42. Maxx Williams TE (Minnesota)

43. Preston Smith DE (Miss St.)

44. Donavon Smith, OT (PSU)

45. D.J. Humphries, OT (Florida)

46. Stephone Anthony, LB (Clemson)

47. Rashad Greene, WR (FSU)

48. Josue Matias, OG (FSU)

49. Jay Ajayi, RB (Boise St.)

50. Ronald Darby, CB (FSU)

I think the second round of the draft will be defined by the running back position. Gurley, Gordon and Abdullah are all special talents. Ajayi is as versatile as a running back can be; he was Boise State’s workhorse.

This draft class is so deep that there will be first round talents that fall to the second round. It seems like we say it every year but there is more talent than ever before.

Recent Ranking Changes: Ereck Flowers moved up to spot 27.

Sammie Coates dropped to spot 33

Rashad Greene dropped to spot 47.
