4th Down: How Odell Beckham Can Avoid A Sophomore Slump
I am sick of hearing about the NFL catching up to Beckham Jr. in his second season. There will be now sophomore slump for Beckham Jr. because he is just too good. All he needs to do to avoid a slump in his second season is stay healthy and to keep doing what he’s doing.
Beckham Jr. is great not only because of his incredible talent but his incredible route running. He is a natural play making wide receiver. The game just comes easy to Beckham Jr. He plays the game like a seasoned pro and if he keeps it up, he’ll have a hall of fame career.
Some players have an incredible rookie season and then they fizzle. Robert Griffin III is a great example of this. But the difference is that Beckham Jr. is so on top of his game that nothing is going to slow him down. Griffin surprised the NFL with great athletic ability, but when teams adjusted he struggled. There is no adjustment they can make, there is nothing to figure out about Beckham Jr. and the Giants. He is going to continue to torch you for big numbers.
I hope you enjoyed having some football talk that wasn’t about Deflate Gate. I promise much more is to come, every single day.
