Week 10 Vs. New England Patriots

The Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots come to Metlife Stadium to do battle with the Giants. While the stakes aren’t as high as their two previous Super Bowl meetings, this one is surely personal for the Patriots. The Giants unluckily get the Patriots in week 10 and therefore will have to stop Tom Brady.

The Patriots figure to be one of the best teams in football, consistency is their calling card in the Brady/Belichick era. They have a strong offensive line protecting an all time great passer. They have one of the most unstoppable tight ends the NFL has ever seen in Rob Gronkowski. Brandon Lafell, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman are reliable targets who know how to get open. LaGarrette Blount leads the rushing attack with power.

The Patriots 2015 defense will look much different from the 2014 unit. There is no more Vince Wilfork. There is no more Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner or Kyle Arrington. The Patriots are going to rely on young players in the secondary with veteran free safety Devin McCourty leading the way. The Patriots may have the best group of linebackers in the NFL with Dont’a Hightower, Jerod Mayo and Jamie Collins.

The Giants know how to beat the Patriots. The supporting cast changes but the concept stays the same. The Giants must dominate the line of scrimmage on defense and fluster Brady with great pass rush. Offensively they must protect Manning so he can torch a now un-proven secondary.
