Poll: Are The New York Giants Playoff Bound?
The New York Giants have had a tumultuous offseason when you think about it. First the Giants lost their starting left tackle in Will Beatty. Victor Cruz spent the offseason the same way he did most of last season, recovering from a devastating knee injury. Let’s not even get started on the Jason Pierre-Paul, fireworks incident.
Players like Odell Beckham Jr., Nat Berhe and Larry Donnell have been limited in practice because of minor injuries. The Giants offseason has been one to remember, that’s for sure.
The Giants did improve the team in a handful of ways. With a strong draft class the Giants improved the offensive line, got their starting strong safety and picked up a defensive end with a lot of promise. Ereck Flowers is expected to be the team’s starting left tackle. This is a tough proposition for the ninth overall draft pick out of the University of Miami.
Through free agency the Giants signed Shane Vereen, Dwayne Harris, J.T. Thomas and a few other players. Vereen should be the extra element this team needs in the passing game and he will compete to be the feature back in the offense. Harris will relieve Beckham Jr. of kick returning duties. Thomas is competing for a starting outside linebacker job.
Now that the Giants are about to start the preseason it is time to evaluate this football team. Are the Giants good enough to win the division or at least sneak into postseason play with a wild card seed? We want to hear from you Giants Nation. Are the Giants a playoff bound team?
