The Bills’ Front Seven vs. The Giants O-Line
Maybe the biggest mismatch heading into Sunday.
Buffalo’s front seven is just so loaded with talent. With Williams and Hughes coming off the edge, Kyle Williams plugging the middle, and Preston Brown and Nigel Bradham being reliable, sure-tacklers, it’s such a talented unit.
As for the Giants offensive line… well, for a shuffling unit with some depth issues and that’s dealing with injuries, they haven’t been as bad as some are suggesting. They have had some bad fundamental plays, but they haven’t been terrible.
That said, it’s one of the Giants’ weaker units, and it’s something Buffalo will try to exploit with their strongest unit. I’m going to assume we’re not going to see either Larry Donnell or Daniel Fells much involved in the passing game this week—even with Victor Cruz out—just because they’ll probably have to keep one of them on the line protecting the edge. We could see Ben McAdoo rolling Eli out of the pocket a little bit more too, just to vary some looks.
Whatever the Giants decide to do, they’ll have to get creative. Otherwise, Eli may have a tough day against one of the NFL’s very best defensive fronts.
