10. A Win Sunday Could Push The Giants To A Division Title
How, exactly?
Well, looking at the schedule, next up for the Giants is a trip to Philadelphia, followed by a home matchup with Dallas, and then they head to New Orleans and Tampa. A lot can change in the NFL, but as of today, these area all winnable games for the Giants.
My main point though: a win Sunday could prove to be a momentum swing for the Giants. They’d be riding a three-game winning streak into two divisional opponents who are depleted and struggling. Should the Giants stay hot against San Francisco and carry that momentum into their next two games, they could snatch two from the division, and that could potentially put them on top of the NFC East come December.
Sure, I’m thinking way ahead here, but it’s the games in the middle of the schedule that matter. And if the Giants keep building off their wins–and build off another possible win this Sunday–they could have enough momentum to carry them to two victories over divisional opponents in the middle of the season. And that could eventually earn them a divisional title.
