The New York Giants have danced with danger in just about every fourth quarter this season. Their last second loss to the New England Patriots was a familiar story. In a great game they could have, they would have and they should have walked away victoriously.

The Giants didn’t really mismanage the clock that badly. Yes, they gave Brady too much time but that’s just how it played out. They moved the ball, they took their time. They marched down the field but they only scored a field goal. A touchdown with a two point conversion would have made it a seven point game.
The Patriots got the football and Tom Brady did his thing. Though he never would be able to do said thing if Landon Collins completes the act of intercepting his first pass. The Giants got to fourth down. They were one play away from a win.
The Giants gave up the first down, the Patriots continued to drive. The Giants were so close to a win but not grabbing that victory is completely on them. At the end of the day, the Giants did not make the winning plays down the stretch.
They settled for a field goal. They dropped the game winning interception. They allowed the Patriots to convert on fourth down on the final drive. The Giants had three plays that could have probably ensured the win and they did not make them.

The Giants now have as many losses as they do wins. Four of the Giants five losses have seen them give up a fourth quarter lead. In their win against the 49ers they gave up the lead, Manning was just able to have the game winning drive. It is the same story, a broken record that’s stuck on the gramophone.
The Giants don’t finish. The Giants lead the league in heart wrenching losses. They could have won, they should have won, they did not win.
