New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals: Top 5 matchups

#2 – Giants RBs vs. Cardinals Front-Seven
In New York’s only two wins this season, the G-Men have accounted for 100-plus rushing yards on the ground. Big Blue fans know Manning is at his best when the Giants have some resemblance of a ground game, which has clearly been non-existent this season.
The Giants have the NFL’s 28th ranked rushing attack in terms of yards entering Week 16 and have scored five rushing touchdowns. Big Blue’s undrafted running back Orleans Darkwa has accounted for four of those scores and is the only player on the team’s roster to have posted a 20-yard plus run in 2017.
Darkwa and rookie running back Wayne Gallman will face some tough sledding on Sunday, as the Cardinals have the NFL’s sixth ranked rush defense in terms of yards allowed.
Arizona’s leading tackler Karlos Dansby is officially listed as questionable due to a knee injury, but the Cardinals talented front-seven begins upfront with their defensive line. Cardinals defensive linemen Frostee Rucker and Olsen Pierre have recorded a combined 49 tackles and six tackles for a loss on the season, but Pierre didn’t get his first career start until Week 10.
The Giants will have to win in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and keeping Arizona’s pass rushers at bay will likely be Big Blue’s toughest challenge.
