Gano earned Pro Bowl honors in 2017. The nine-year veteran made 96.7 percent of his field goal attempts this past season and was perfect from inside 50 yards.

Gano already has a connection with Big Blue’s new general manager. As Carolina’s general manager, Gettleman signed Gano to a four-year, $12.4 million deal in 2014, according to Spotrac.

The 30-year-old kicker out of Florida State was unable to connect on his only field goal attempt from 50-plus yards, but has shown in the past he has no problem hitting from distance. Gano has made 17-of-31 field goals from 50-plus yards during his NFL career.

The fact that he also plays in an outdoor stadium should only boost his value in free agency.
