No. 2 – Damon Harrison

The fact that Damon Harrison has not been selected to a Pro Bowl is ludicrous. The seven-year veteran is one of the league’s best interior defensive linemen.

Harrison has found success in both 3-4 and 4-3 defenses. He should be at minimum a two-time Pro Bowler. Instead, he is a one-time first-team All-Pro.

Snacks can be a game-changer for a defense. He makes everyone’s job a bit easier.

Former New York Giant and NFL Network analyst Shaun O’Hara lists Harrison as the league’s eighth best defensive tackle. A case could be made that he belongs in the top five.

But for Harrison to receive any praise, Big Blue’s defense must perform at a high level. Just like offensive linemen receive praise when the entire offense plays well, the same can be said for defensive linemen.

Harrison’s ability to clog running lanes and open gaps for pass rushers tends to go overlooked. That shouldn’t be the case if New York’s defense turns it around in 2018.

The Giants defense starts with No. 98 in the middle. It’s time he gets the recognition he deserves.
