5. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings – Week 5

After leaving the Redskins for a nice pay raise following the 2017 season, Kirk Cousins put together a career high in completions, completion percentage, and touchdowns in his first year with the Minnesota Vikings.

Surrounded with All-Star caliber play-makers in Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, and Kyle Rudolph, Cousins has arguably one of the best supporting casts in the NFL.

When it comes to playing the New York Giants, Cousins has struggled throughout his career. With eight starts vs his former division rival under his belt, he holds a 3-5 record with a very underwhelming statline.

  • 170/298 (57%)
  • 67.3 QBR
  • 2,027 yards
  • 8 touchdowns
  • 14 interceptions
  • 21 sacks
  • 4 fumbles

While the talent surrounding Cousins in Minnesota this year will be far better than what he had during his time in D.C., there is no denying that Big Blue has gotten the better of him to this point of his career.

Kirk Cousins is still one of the better pure passers in the NFL. He’s put together four straight 4,000+ yard, 25+ passing touchdown seasons, which doesn’t happen by accident.

With the talent around him, he has the weapons to give the New York Giants and their defense fits during their week five matchup.
