4. CB Nickell Robey-Coleman

Infamously best known for getting away with an egregious pass interference penalty in the waning moments of the 2018 NFC Championship game, Nickell Robey-Coleman is actually a rock-solid football player. As his name suggests, he’s a nickel corner and a damn good one at that.

Over the past two seasons, Robey-Coleman has allowed QB ratings against him of just 87 and 86 in 2018 and 2019, which is not easy when playing mainly as a slot corner. Standing at just 5’8 inches tall, Coleman wouldn’t offer much outside of playing the slot, but that’s all the NY Giants need right now.

A former undrafted free agent, Robey-Coleman was just let go by the Rams after they declined to pick up his $5M contract option for 2020. While many would read into that as him not being a great player, that wouldn’t be taking into account the current salary cap hell the Rams are currently in.

Signing Nickell Robey-Coleman in the second wave of free agency is the type of move a smart GM makes. Let’s see if it happens.

Chance it happens: Moderate

Potential offer: 2 years/$10M
