Jabrill Peppers will return to action for the NY Giants on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys after missing two weeks due to an ankle injury

NY Giants safety and punt returner Jabrill Peppers will return Sunday afternoon against the Dallas Cowboys.

Peppers originally injured his ankle in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers and missed last Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Prior to getting injured, Peppers produced produced 10 total tackles. A special teams captain, Peppers also  averaged 12.5 yards per return on four punt returns through two-plus games.

Giants special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey expected this week to be able to work Peppers back into the rotation, if he turned out to be available, which he is.

“Like the last two years, Golden and Jabrill have been our punt returners,” McGaughey said this week. “It’s just a feel thing. If he feels fresh and he can go back there, he’s good. If not, he’ll come off and Golden will go back there. Get a fresh pair of legs back there, fresh mind to make a good decision. Those two guys will handle it.”

Meanwhile, Giants linebacker Kyler Fackrell and defensive back Adrian Colbert will both play Sunday, after being listed as “questionable” on the team’s final injury report released on Friday.

Here are the rest of the Giants’ inactives for Sunday’s game:

LB T.J. Brunson

OT Jackson Barton

TE Eric Tomlinson

DL RJ McIntosh

The Giants (0-4) and Dallas Cowboys (1-3) kickoff at 4:25 p.m. Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas.
