NY Giants Tight ends (3)

Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, Kaden Smith

Outside looking in: Nakia Griffin-Stewart, Jake Hausmann

Evan Engram’s calf injury certainly casts a dark cloud of the NY Giants’ tight end situation, that has already been ridiculously dogged by injuries this summer.

The Giants are banking on Evan Engram having a legitimate Pro Bowl caliber campaign, after making his first Pro Bowl last season, despite dropping eight passes.

Meanwhile, look for Kyle Rudolph to play a significant role in the offense this season, and not just as a red-zone weapon, but in two tight end sets that have become a hallmark of offenses across the NFL in recent years.

The NY Giants’ coaching staff remains high on Kaden Smith, who could fill a role as a run-blocking tight end.
