Obviously the 2021 season has not gone the way the NY Giants had envisioned.

Crippling injuries, with uncertainty surrounding the coaching staff and management, the Giants could have an entirely new look come 2022.

The rebuilding process has begun with the firing of Jason Garrett and it should not stop there.

The NY Giants are ready for a front office and roster overhaul. That leaves the team looking toward the future and some key players on the practice squad that could make a name for themselves in 2022.

Here’s a look at four players on the NY Giants practice squad who could play key roles next season:

The 6-foot-3 and 211-pound receiver from West Virginia had become an early preseason fan-favorite in 2021.

The “Sills Army” formed and ran a campaign to get him on the roster. It did not work out, as the NY Giants released him but did re-sign him to the practice squad shortly after.

Sills definitely does have a knack to get behind defensive backs and make tough contested catches, which are without a doubt two things the NY Giants receivers struggled with all year.

With the receiver position up in the air, with concerns of salary cap issues with Sterling Shepard and injury concerns in Kadarious Toney and Kenny Golladay; Sills might find himself in a prime position to make an impact.
