3. Florida State RB Jashaun Corbin

A surprise to many when looking back at the NY Giants 2022 draft class is that they didn’t take a running back. With Schoen electing to look past the position during the seven rounds, the Giants’ depth chart is not impossible to break into for an UDFA running back.

Jashaun Corbin stands a chance at making the NY Giants roster as a depth back who can play special teams, having returned kicks for Florida State in 2021. He showed in college that he possesses explosive play potential – something the Giants finished bottom of the league in for the 2021 season.

In 2021, the former Seminole had two touchdowns of 75+ yards and broke the 100-yard rushing mark on four different occasions. On the year, he topped the Seminoles with 887 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, as well as 144 yards on 25 receptions in the air – adding an additional score.

While he is certainly not a starting NFL talent at this stage – hence being undrafted – he certainly has tools which can contribute to this roster on offense, but particularly on special teams. Corbin will be hoping he can see a successful move from undrafted prospect to NFL running back as others have before him.
