You’re not alone if you’re checking Twitter every five minutes to see if there’s some sort of a new update on NY Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay. For the second-straight week, Golladay was held without a catch, this time doing so on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Golladay did have a long gain called back due to a phantom offensive pass interference being called on Sterling Shepard.

Despite that, it has been made more than clear that Golladay doesn’t have a long-term future with this team and fans want him out of town as soon as possible. One team of intrigue for a potential Kenny Golladay deal is no doubt the Chicago Bears. Would the NFC North team be ready to talk with Joe Schoen if the price is right?

NY Giants could look to trade Kenny Golladay soon

Our friends over at Bear Goggles On put together a list of three trade packages Chicago could put together for Golladay. One in particular caught our eye: Chicago gets Golladay, while the Bears send veteran offensive guard Michael Schofield to the G-Men.

The Giants struggles on the offensive line don’t look like they’re going to be going away in the near future, especially on the interior. Fans had high hopes for the new-look OL heading into the season, but Daniel Jones isn’t being given enough time to look downfield and he’s constantly having to try and avoid pressure.

The Cowboys were in Jones’ face all night, with Demarcus Lawrence alone recording three sacks. That simply can’t happen. Schofield, a 6-6, 300-pounder, may not be an All-Pro talent, but he’s got experience and could really provide the Giants with some stability up front. For Chicago, they’d get some WR help that Justin Fields desperately needs.

There’s also been talks of a late-round pick getting the job done for Golladay. Keep in mind, however, that the expectation is that the Giants would have to take on a big portion of Golladay’s salary.

No one is going to want to pay through the roof for a wideout who is in the middle of a nightmare season, posting only two receptions in three games. We’ll see if the Bears or anyone else for that matter makes a move to try and bring in Golladay.
