3. EDGE Aidan Hutchinson

The Lions added edge-rusher Aidan Hutchinson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Just nine games into his NFL career, he has already made an impact on this defense. Prior to being drafted, Hutchinson was a star at the University of Michigan. Over 36 collegiate games, he recorded 156 total tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, and 17.5 total sacks.

In recent weeks, Hutchinson has begun to fully adjust to the NFL game. He has recorded 28 total tackles, four tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, 5.5 total sacks, and one interception. Hutchinson has managed to give some of the game’s best offensive linemen problems this season. The Giants just so happen to have a star at left tackle in Andrew Thomas who could slow him down.

But, the Lions could also choose to send Hutchinson to the right side of the line. With Giants rookie right tackle Evan Neal still sidelined with an injury, people around the NFL will have to wait for a matchup of two of 2022’s top picks.
