For a while now, the NFL world has been focusing on Aaron Rodgers potentially joining the New York Jets. While nothing has been finalized just yet, all signs are pointing to the future Hall of Famer suiting up for Gang Green. Hey, good for the Jets, but don’t let the Rodgers talk make you forget that the NY Giants are still the best team in town.
Simply by bringing in Rodgers, it doesn’t mean that the Jets are going to be a more exciting squad in 2023 over Big Blue. The G-Men put on a show last season, making the playoffs for the first time since 2016 – they also took down the Vikings in the Wild Card Round.
Rodgers watched the postseason from home. And this came after the Giants stunned him and Green Bay in London earlier in the year. Xavier McKinney decided to remind Rodgers, and everyone for that matter, of how things went down the last time AR12 and the Giants faced off.
Xavier McKinney isn’t scared of the Jets landing QB Aaron Rodgers
No one has forgotten about that incredible NY win over the Packers in Week 5 in front of the fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Packers were considered heavy favorites for that one, but Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, McKinney and others were able to get the job done in heartstopping fashion.
Now, Rodgers and the Jets, unless something drastic happens, will unite and be ready to take on the Giants this upcoming season. With Rodgers expected to revive the NYJ offense, plenty of people will go ahead and assume that he’ll be able to power his new team to an impressive win.
Hold the phone on that one. McKinney is all healed up from his hand injury suffered from his ATV accident and he’ll be ready to be fantastic in 2023. Once the official schedule is released for next season, McKinney and the Giants will have plenty of games circled on their calendars for the fall and winter.
It goes without saying, but the matchup with the Jets will be one of them. McKinney will look forward to letting Rodgers know that Big Blue owns East Rutherford.

The NY Giants have re-signed wideout Darius Slayton to a two-year deal, and he had an amazing reaction to things on Twitter.
