Draft season never sleeps. We haven't even seen the New York Giants' most recent rookie class take the field yet, but it's already time to take a peek at the upcoming class.

The 2027 NFL Draft class has already been gaining praise as one of the top classes of the last decade. It's full of elite prospects who could make a major impact for the G-Men. And while it's still far too early to make solid predictions, a few prospects have already been connected to Big Blue by various analysts.

Giants fans should keep an eye on these collegiate stars in 2026.

Giants should keep tabs on 3 2027 NFL Draft prospects with early New York connections

DT David Stone

There may not be a college football player as commonly mocked to the Giants as Stone. The Oklahoma defensive tackle has landed with the G-Men in recent mock drafts from Sports Illustrated, Pro Football Network, and Fansided.com.

Stone is just going into his third season with the Sooners, so he may not enter the 2027 draft. If he does, he could be the Giants' answer to the interior problem left by Dexter Lawrence. Stone is a big run-stuffer with the athletic upside to dominate as a pass rusher.

WR Cam Coleman

Between Coleman and Jeremiah Smith, the 2027 class may be more loaded at receiver than it is at any other position. After transferring from Auburn to Texas this offseason, Coleman is set up for a massive year in 2026.

Coleman has been a common target for the Giants in early mock drafts, including one from NFL Spin Zone. At 6'3", he could be the true "X" receiver that New York has been looking for to pair with Malik Nabers. The Texas wideout will likely come off the board within the top ten picks, so the Giants hopefully won't be selecting early enough to get him.

CB Ellis Robinson IV

If the G-Men choose to focus on defense in the first round of next year's draft, Georgia cornerback Ellis Robinson IV would be a strong choice. The young defender combines a prototypical physical profile with instincts that go beyond his years to shut down opposing passing attacks.

Robinson IV came down with four interceptions in 2025, his first year as a full-time starter. He could be the answer that the Giants have been looking for in their secondary for years.
